Chemo-Enzymatic Deracemisation for the production of enantiopure chiral amines and amino acids

Ingenza's proprietary methods for deracemisation, where one enantiomer in a racemic mixture is converted into the other (or stereoinversion from one single enantiomer to the other), offer the possibility of chiral chemicals at up to 100 % enantiomeric excess and close to 100 % yield in a single reaction. Ingenza has focused this technology on a diverse range of natural and unnatural amino acids and amines using enantiospecific enzymatic oxidation coupled with chemical reduction. These deracemisation processes are being developed as highly competitive routes at industrially relevant scales.

Conversion of one enantiomer to another in a deracemisation process. Simultaneous application of oxidase biocatalyst and chemical reducing catalyst in one pot results in optically pure compounds approaching 100 per cent yield.
